The Wonderful World of Blogging
What is better then being able to publicly express your ideas with creative freedom and endless possibilities? Blogging has become quite the social media craze, interlacing people with their expressions, daily routines, favorite quotes/songs, and their overall take of the world. Sites like Blogger, Tumblr, Xanga, and even photo-blogging websites like Flickr have allowed the world to see how people interpret their daily life–individually and subjectively. Of course, you can also create your own website to have full access to everything you want and how you want it. Blogging is a source of mass communication and advertising, sharing and showing, and most importantly, creativity and imagination.
I have never really considered myself to be a “blogger”. However, I have always been a writer. So when I decided to check out a few blogging sites, my mind went wild. Tumblr is a blogging website that allows its users to create their layout, upload pictures and files, display quotes and videos, and chat with fellow bloggers. I am in love with this blogging site, not only because of my ability to show the world the ins and outs of all the things that interest me, but because I learn so much about developing and sharing a creative blog.
Shovels & Curtains is a home and garden blog where I am able to tell readers about my experience with products and ideas, and it’s also a place where I can express ideas, concerns, or questions about all things relating to home and garden care. Just from this blog, I have become even more familiar and intact with my yard, my dog’s care, and the storage of my home! Blogging really expands your imagination, allowing you to soak things in and spit things out. It’s been one of the best mind exercises I’ve experienced in a while.
I’ve been able to apply my use of blogging, writing, and developing to my work in marketing. Being able to openly express my feelings towards a certain product, in order to give advantageous recognition to a fellow company or developer allows me to be a versatile and creative marketer or affiliate. I love being able to tell the public how I feel about a natural gas grill, its advantages and disadvantages, and most importantly my personal experience with the product!

I really recommend giving blogging a chance. It’s full of great mind exercise, internet-expanding expertise, and very therapeutic opportunities. If you get a chance, check out this website on the basics and essentials of blogging!
